It has been my pleasure and honor to provide free legal services to a Roanoke-based organization called SERCAP. The Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its Small Business Loan Program delivers loans to small business owners and entrepreneurs looking to expand an existing business that primarily serves a rural population. It has an interest rate of Prime + 200 Basis Points. That is only 2% above the prime interest rate.
If you have researched bank loans, you will know that this is an exceptional rate. The catch is that you have to qualify for it. I am happy to put you in touch with the Loan Fund Manager, Devin Journiette. Otherwise, you can reach him directly and learn more about how to qualify for this low-interest loan by clicking here.
Please note that I do not benefit directly or indirectly from any loan that SERCAP makes. It is an exceptional non-profit organization that is looking for ways to help entrepreneurs achieve their potential and, in the process, lift their communities through employment opportunities and services.
Small Business Training:
SERCAP has partnered with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Entrepreneurial Learning Initiative (ELI) to bring the SERCAP ELI Program to residents living in rural communities throughout Virginia. The Program is a 4-8 week development training that provides participants with intensive coursework geared towards building an entrepreneurial mindset.
